The EMEA Retail Finance Controller is a new key role within the wider EMEA finance organization of Gibson Europe. As EMEA Retail Finance Controller your influence will span from operational through tactical to the strategic.

This position will be responsible for performing all the financial functions needed to support Gibson’s retail activities in the EMEA region. This will cover:

- Physical retail stores
- Touch-points for Artist and Entertainment Relations
- On-line (E-commerce) channels
- Consignment partnerships

You will be responsible for the core accounting and bookkeeping functions, and reach into budgeting, forecasting, and process engineering.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accounting / Bookkeeping / GAAP knowledge
- Reconciling POS-systems to core ERP
- Inventory monitoring and optimization
- Maintenance of core POS and product data
- Forecasting/Budgeting including liquidity and balance sheet
- Profit/Loss Analysis and Modeling
- KPI development, measurement, and monitoring
- Support of retail sales pricing and product mix strategies
- Development of retail business cases to support growth of retail channels
- OPEX tracking & reporting
- CAPEX requests and monitoring
- Driving and leading improvements in systems and processes from identification through project management to implementation and execution
- Support external auditors and other external advisors
- Work with internal stakeholders such as store staff, E-commerce teams and EMEA supply chain to ensure a trouble-free retail experience for Gibson’s customers.
- Supporting Tax Department in preparation of CIT and VAT returns as well as transfer pricing.

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- A University degree in Accounting preferred
- 5+ years of direct accounting experience or as finance professional
- Significant experience in a retail environment including e-commerce & POS systems
- Familiar with different retail concepts
- Project management and IT-implementation.
- Fluency in English (and regional language a plus).
