Your role

In this role, you will actively support implementing and monitoring compliant account structures (SCOAs) and cost structures for Opco’s. Furthermore, you will support projects with an accounting component and ensure they comply with HEINEKEN’s accounting (STAR) policies. These projects include ensuring that new software solutions (like HEINEKEN’s current DBB deployment project) comply with HEINEKEN’s accounting (STAR) policies.

You will report to the Senior Financial Reporting Specialist. Your position is based in the Amsterdam Head Office.

Your department

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you are part of the Reporting and Accounting Policies team (‘RAP team’). The RAP team is the department responsible for HEINEKEN's consolidated financial statements and accounting policies. Our goal is to ensure high-quality financial reporting that is compliant with IFRS.

**Profile**:
For this role, we are looking for someone with an audit background who has a sound understanding of IFRS and internal controls. This person should be comfortable identifying accounting issues and collaborating with peers to solve those issues. This person should have good communication and presentation skills, e.g. being able to communicate topics in a simple and understandable way. This person should also be strong in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, in an international environment, and be eager to learn and embrace the diversity of our global operations.

You would be a good fit if you:

- have 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, with exposure to IFRS, accounting issues and internal controls;
- have a university degree in accounting. Preferably registered with a professional accounting body (RA/CA/ACCA/CPA or relevant equivalent);
- have strong communication skills
- have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- are fluent in English.
