Supervisory Affairs Manager leads a team of experts, sets the standards for their expertise area and takes responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the field of expertise. Oversees the work of the team, including, advice and partnership with departments to formulate communication plans and identify key information that should be shared internally and externally to supports the implementation of ING's internal and external communication strategy.

**The Team**

The supervisory affairs team (SA team) is responsible for improving ING’s engagement with its main banking supervisors. The team manages the day-to-day coordination of ECB supervision at ING. The team is also involved in the daily engagement with DNB and other AML supervisors, and has an advising role in the ECB and DNB onsites that take place throughout the year. The team regularly reports about the ECB supervisory activities towards MBB/SB and other main stakeholders. Our team is part of Supervisory, Public and Regulatory Affairs (SuPRA), a corporate staff department which is also responsible for advocacy regarding regulatory developments, and supporting ING’s interests in the public and political debate.

**Roles and responsibilities**
- Your role will be to coordinate, together with your colleagues in the Supervisory Affairs team, the daily ING engagement with the ECB and other supervisors.
- In this unique role you will represent ING to the supervisors and represent the supervisors view and interest to ING.
- This includes: (i) maintaining and building an effective relationship with the ECB and other supervisors as well as with the relevant ING departments for which you will become the contact person for all supervisory related matters, (ii) preparing and participating in regular meetings of ING's MBB and SB with the ECB, and (iii) coordinating the day-to-day interaction with the JST team.
- Areas of interest will be mainly ESG (Climate) and Credit Risk

As a Supervisory Affairs Manager you have the following traits and experience:

- At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in the banking industry or at a financial supervisor (preferably both)
- Affinity with (banking) supervision in practice
- Good understanding of a bank's finance and risk functions
- Proven communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Make it happen mentality - able to work in a high demanding environment
- Ability to maintain a network within the organization
- Fluent in English
