Then, this position might be interesting for you- As a Group Lead at R&D, you will be part of a global environment where you can lead innovation with multidisciplinary business partners such as Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing and Product and Advanced Services Sales in which we develop new industrial automation businesses resulting in services and products such as hygienic industrial PCs, virtualized Machine/Edge/Line/AI Controllers with full secure connectivity to dataspaces. You will be responsible for leading a group of approximately 5-6 engineers, therefore, strong interpersonal skills and proactive mindset are essential in this role.**Your responsibilities consist of**:Managing multidisciplinary development projects and engineers;
- Together with the product marketing team develop and explore the business opportunities of our products;
- Aligning your vision, strategy, and roadmaps and work closely with-
- Global Marketing
- Key customers
- Regional Omron marketing and sales colleagues
- Omron Manufacturing-
- Being able to go from concept to product development;
- Working with international teams from the different Omron locations, both within Europe, USA and in Japan;
- Become a champion of our product portfolio, technology & development process.**Who are you?**- You have an academic or equivalent degree (minimum BSc) in Computer Science or comparable;-
- You have at least 10 years of work experience in relevant field such as software development, system validation & verifications and/or IoT security;
- You have a vision related to Industry 4.0;
- You are seen as the natural leader in a team;
- You are familiar with Agile development practices like Scrum and Kanban;
- You are methodical in your approach, with excellent judgment and result oriented mindset;
- You are fluent in English and Dutch (both written and verbal);
- You are prepared to travel occasionally, e.g. to the various Omron locations, our technology partners and key target customers.**What can OMRON offer to you**:
