**About the role**:
As an Expert in Dutch and Belgium Old masters and Modern Art, you will be closely involved with evaluating and arranging lots submitted by our users. Using your expert knowledge in NL-BE artworks, you will be responsible for creating attractive auctions every week.

Catawiki strives to keep user transactions as transparent and fair as possible, and your expertise and experience play a large part in maintaining this standard; you know better than anyone what items are of interest to our users.

You will review lot titles, descriptions, lot pictures, and provide users with an estimated value based on this information. If you need to reject a submission, you do so in a professional and courteous manner. Your efforts result in exceptional auctions that bidders will find irresistible.

Finally, you'll also be working together with our sales team and proactively review seller segments, assist team members in onboarding high potential leads and upselling existing sellers.

**What you'll do**:

- Appraise and estimate Dutch and Belgium works of art (paintings and drawings from XVIIth to mid. XXth century) in direct contact with sellers.
- Curate and compile attractive auctions every week
- Source artworks from high potential sellers in Netherlands and Belgium
- Onboard high potential leads in collaboration with Sales team

**What you'll bring**:

- + 3 years of experience as an expert/curator in the NL and BE Art market
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with art dealers, galleries, and other stakeholders, aiming to secure favourable deals and acquisitions.
- Excellent English communication and fluency in Dutch is a must
- Documented commercial expertise
- Computer literate
- Network of sellers in the Benelux Art market
- You are a natural team player and thrive in a diverse team environment
- An affinity for numbers and analysing auction results/data is a plus
