About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. As a Data Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy and maintain data-related open-source tools, such as Airflow and DataHub.
  • Data Solutions Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain in-house data solutions written in Python.
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and develop infrastructure related to data, including cloud storage solutions, data access policies, and infrastructure needed to support applications.
  • Service Monitoring: Directly monitor and maintain several data-related services.
Requirements
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with managing and maintaining corporate-level cloud platform environments.
  • Migration Expertise: Experience in migration processes.
  • Cloud Storage Solutions: Experience in managing cloud storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Delta Lake.
  • Software Development: High-quality software development mindset.
  • Security Awareness: Security-aware cloud development mindset.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, including Python, SQL, dbt, and Terraform.
  • Software Tools: Experience with software tools, including Airflow, Argo, Databricks, Spark, and DataHub.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge and interest in Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Helm are a plus.
  • Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately €4,400 to €6,200 per month.
