This pivotal role, reporting to the Head of GRC and the Chief Finance Officer, necessitates exceptional analytical abilities, robust leadership skills, and the capacity to foster collaboration across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Identification and Evaluation: Collaborate with product, engineering, and business units to recognize vital assets and potential risks. Conduct thorough risk evaluations, assess possible impacts, and gather diverse viewpoints. Determine the most critical assets, primary risks, and threats associated with those risks.
- Risk Mitigation: Formulate risk mitigation strategies that consider both effectiveness and practicality. Present data-driven recommendations to senior management and secure approval for these strategies. Execute approved risk treatments, assess their effectiveness, and refine methods as necessary.
- Risk Communication and Reporting: Develop clear and impactful risk reports to facilitate informed decision-making. Effectively communicate the program to stakeholders and educate the wider audience on best practices in risk management.
- Program Development and Processes: Enhance the risk management framework by utilizing insights from evaluations and exploring new tools and methodologies. Establish risk frameworks, tools, and processes that align with IT change management. Identify automation opportunities for the risk platform and implement enhancements.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Work closely with various teams to conduct risk evaluations and create risk mitigation strategies. Present findings and recommendations to senior executives and other stakeholders. Build strong relationships with risk and compliance partners to cultivate a risk-aware culture.
- Leadership and Development: Continuously develop expertise in risk management and leadership. Mentor and motivate team members to advance in their roles.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of extensive experience in risk management, particularly in the information security sector.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, information security, computer science, communications, economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on quantifying risks and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A proven history of successfully implementing risk management programs and achieving risk reduction.
- A deep understanding of risk assessment, data protection, and information security methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences.
- Experience with risk management tools, platforms, and automation is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications in risk management or information security are advantageous.
