The ideal candidate for this Junior Accountant position will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and proficiency in Exact Online.

Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing:
    • Process financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments in Exact Online.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Maintain and organize financial records in accordance with Dutch regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Collaborate with the 3rd party company for preparing VAT returns and other tax filings, ensuring compliance with Dutch tax regulations.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax rules and regulations.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Help optimize accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the use of Exact Online.
    • Collaborate with the team to improve financial workflows.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
    • Prior experience using Exact Online is required.
    • Experience with Dutch tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax) is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge preferred).
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
