Job Summary

Rivertech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth passage of our ships from point A to point B.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all vessel operations, including navigation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks, including administrative duties.
  • Develop and build strong teams.
  • Securely moor the ship and navigate through narrow spaces, such as locks, bridges, and rivers.
  • Take responsibility for the effective and safe operation of the vessel and its equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Train new crew members in safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with business guidelines.

Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding of nautical laws and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication abilities. You must be able to adapt to changing situations and respond quickly in an emergency. Additionally, you should have a thorough understanding of navigational procedures and be able to make powerful decisions in times of crisis.
