Job Summary:
Damen Shipyards is seeking a highly skilled Technology Specialist to join our Electric & Hybrid Propulsion Systems team. As a key member of our Technology Management department, you will be responsible for the development and standardization of modular and scalable system families, variants, and options for our Workboats product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new technology and standardize modular and scalable system families, variants, and options
- Manage concept development projects in a multi-disciplinary team
- Set requirements for technology by considering business needs and market opportunities
- Convert requirements to functional and conceptual design with a team of Technology specialists/engineers
- Guide the development of technology with suppliers and partners
- Contribute to knowledge management by documenting knowledge in system principles, instructions, and trainings
- Advise and support Product platform teams with selection and implementation of technology
- Perform FMEA analysis, HAZID studies, and arrange class approval
- Write detailed test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements:
- Academic level with a bachelor's and/or master's degree in a technical direction
- Experience with Systems Engineering principles
- Experience with development and integration of (marine) installations
- Experience with (marine) industry standards and regulations
- High-quality consciousness and accuracy
- Effective communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus
