Job Summary

We're seeking a Sales Proposals Engineer to join our team in Schiedam, The Netherlands. As a Sales Proposals Engineer, you'll be part of an expanding team in the Netherlands, working closely with colleagues in Finland, Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare sales proposals and supporting presentation materials and documents for Spare Parts and Field Service.
  • Determine, review, and approve calculated margins and proposal risks.
  • Support in presenting and explaining proposals to customers.
  • Build sales funnels through maintenance planning and dry-docking dates.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external promotion of solutions and success stories.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy in our CRM system.
  • Approve offers within approval guidelines.
  • Use data and analytics to identify new opportunities and team performance.

Requirements

  • You hold a technical background, preferably in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or similar.
  • Affinity with technical and financial calculations, offer creation, and a commercial drive.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in both English; Dutch is seen as a big benefit.
  • Customer focus (internal/external) and capability of building business relationships.
  • High level of detail and comprehension, while ensuring a high level of proactivity and flexibility.
  • Experience with negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills is a plus.
  • Contributor towards developing a healthy team spirit and team dynamics.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) applications.
