Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the Antibody Research Materials Department within Genmab's Discovery organization, you will leverage your expertise to enhance our discovery pipeline. Your leadership will be crucial in managing teams dedicated to supplying essential research materials for our innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee three functional teams throughout the protein production lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, operational efficiency, and cost management.
- Formulate and execute strategic objectives for the protein and cell supply chain, closely collaborating with team leads to align with Discovery goals.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere that promotes excellence and continuous improvement, while encouraging scientific knowledge sharing.
- Support the professional growth of your direct reports, ensuring their development aligns with organizational needs.
- Drive resource planning in accordance with strategic priorities for your area of responsibility.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners to secure a dependable supply chain.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency in operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with protein and cell supply.
Qualifications and Skills
- A graduate degree is essential, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Ph.D. in biotechnology, bioengineering, protein engineering, or molecular chemistry. Candidates with a Master's degree and substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in the early-stage biopharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and advancements in early-stage protein and cell production and supply chain management is required.
- Experience in implementing organizational strategies and a background in operational excellence are advantageous.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex research findings to diverse audiences.
