Protein Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Protein and Cell Supply team at Genmab. As the Director of Protein and Cell Supply, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire protein production process, from vector design to logistics, to ensure timely delivery, quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead three functional teams to manage the protein production process, including Cell & Molecular Design, Protein Supply & Analytics, and Protein Sample Management.
- Develop and implement strategic objectives for the protein and cell supply chain to support the Discovery goals.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support the career development of direct reports and drive resource planning for the area of oversight.
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in operations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with protein and cell supply.
- Advanced degree required, preferably a Ph.D. in biotechnology, bioengineering, protein engineering, or molecular chemistry.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in the early-stage biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with prior experience in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and scientific advances related to early-stage protein and cell production and/or supply chain management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex findings to diverse audiences.
