Position Overview
As a key member of the Antibody Research Materials Department within Genmab's Discovery organization, you will leverage your expertise to propel our discovery initiatives forward. In this capacity, you will oversee the teams responsible for delivering vital research materials essential for our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee three functional teams throughout the entire protein production lifecycle, from vector design to logistics, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, operational efficiency, and cost management.
- Formulate and execute strategic objectives for the protein and cell supply chain, aligning closely with team leads to support overarching Discovery goals.
- Foster a collaborative culture that encourages excellence and continuous improvement, while promoting scientific knowledge sharing.
- Guide the professional development of your direct reports, supporting their career growth.
- Manage resource planning in accordance with strategic priorities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners to ensure a dependable supply chain.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency in operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with protein and cell supply processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced degree required, preferably a Ph.D. in biotechnology, bioengineering, protein engineering, or molecular chemistry. Candidates with a Master's degree and extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in the early-stage biopharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and scientific advancements related to early-stage protein and cell production and supply chain management is essential.
- Experience in implementing organizational strategies and operational excellence is advantageous.
- A collaborative leadership style that empowers direct reports is highly valued.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex research findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to adapt to new organizational directions and manage multiple projects concurrently, as departmental needs evolve.
