About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at ANDRITZ. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing winning category strategies for managed categories in a region, in line with global divisional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Strategy Development: Analyze current suppliers in terms of performance, competitiveness, compliance, and sustainability, and develop category strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Pre-qualify new suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with company needs.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Drive total cost of ownership reduction through joint process improvements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Lead projects of cross-functional teams, meet project deadlines, budget, and targets.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Business Administration or Supply Chain Management degree, desirable SCM or Strategic Sourcing education.
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience in an international industrial environment in Supply Chain Management or strategic sourcing positions, preferably in the industrial sector (Automotive, Energy, Wind, Rail, Marine Machinery).
  • Skills: Market knowledge and business understanding of purchased equipment and services, category strategy development and management, operational procurement knowledge and skills, safety and environmental requirements, technical drawings and specifications knowledge, SAP and other procurement information systems knowledge and skills.
