Senior Commercial Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for commercial activities, providing valuable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, identifying commercial risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage sales and margin reporting, analyzing actual results and identifying trends, and offering insights on sales performance, profitability, and potential risks to senior management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations, and collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve revenue growth and profitability.
  • Develop informative financial reports and dashboards for senior management and the commercial team, aiding strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and monitor KPIs to measure commercial operations' effectiveness, implementing monitoring systems for performance assessment and improvement.
  • Lead projects to enhance cost control, margin improvement, and process efficiency, developing and monitoring KPIs for growth and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, identifying commercial risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in economics, business finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive working experience (7-10 years) in an international commercial environment.
  • Several years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or related roles, preferably in a commercial or business-focused environment.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in English, to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • People management skills: inspiring, guiding, and empowering individuals and teams to achieve their full potential and foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence.
