At Signify, we're transforming the industry through innovative solutions. As an International Key Account Manager for our Sports Field Lighting business, you'll be responsible for building and fostering relationships with key accounts to enable perfect grass pitches for matches.

Your role involves developing and driving the global business in sports field lighting with the grass segment team. You'll work closely with directors, technical staff, and greenkeepers to understand their needs and issues with their grass pitches. Your task is to turn these needs into successful solutions based on LED technology, ensuring stadiums have perfect grass pitches for every match.

You'll also develop this emerging market further, creating awareness of the latest full-controlled automated grass grow systems that incorporate LED, heat, and airflow controlled by sensor technology. Our goal is to bring solutions to the market that help customers reduce their carbon footprint and improve their products.

You'll work in a team with plant specialists and technical specialists to ensure customer requests align with proposed solutions. Together, you can create the best proposals for your accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing new contacts with sport stadiums and golf courses globally
  • Maintaining existing accounts globally, including solution partners
  • Creating awareness and introducing total system solutions at stadiums, golf courses, and international fairs/events for sports
  • Inspiring people in the sport industry on how to create perfect sports fields
  • Understanding customer needs/issues and connecting them with the right people in the team to support/solve them
  • Developing and executing a strategic account management vision/plan to enable profitable growth of Signify in the sports field lighting business
  • Bringing product wishes/needs from customers to product managers to work out new products and features
  • Creating complete project quotations aligned with business and partners
  • Supporting in making business/strategic plans with the Business Developer based on customer feedback and your own experience/learnings

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A proven track record in key account management and consultative selling principles in a fast-paced technology industry (3+ years)
  • Experience in selling complex offerings consisting of multiple building blocks
  • Key account planning skills and focus on strategic relationships development
  • Commercial listening and questioning skills, ability to win seats at the right customer table
  • Skilled in one-to-many negotiations, able to create demand for solutions by leveraging empathy and trust-based relationships
  • Interpersonal skills, including working in cross-functional teams
  • Financial acumen and commercial savviness
  • Experience with or interest in soccer is a plus
