We are seeking a skilled Lighting Expert to join our Intellectual Property team at Signify, the world leader in lighting. Located in Eindhoven or Amsterdam, this role offers a dynamic environment where you can leverage your expertise in reverse engineering to contribute to our Enab LED Licensing program.

Job DescriptionThis role involves analyzing LED-based lighting products, components, and systems from competitors, providing insights into the usage and relevance of Signify patents. You will work closely with IP Counsels and support staff to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
- Perform PCBA analysis, reconstructing understandable power circuits and performing visual inspections.
- Build knowledge and insights into RE tasks and relationships between circuit, optical/spectral, mechanical design, and (lighting-) systems.
- Measure finished LED products to determine patent infringement.
You will be part of the IP Reverse Engineering team, working on exciting projects that drive innovation in the lighting industry. As a team player, you will collaborate with other Reverse Engineers and IPCs to deliver high-quality results.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5-10 years of experience in a research or product development environment.
- Experience with power electronic circuits, ideally LED drivers, optics, spectral measurements.
- Knowledge of CAN/LIN bus for Automotive (or willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in Python (or willingness to learn).
You will be comfortable using test- and measurement equipment and have excellent communication skills to write technical reports and documents.
