About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Service Specialist to join our team at American Express Global Business Travel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional travel service experience for our corporate business customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with online and offline bookings, modifications, cancellations, and complex travel arrangements via phone, chat, or email.
  • Act as the point of sale for domestic and international travel requirements, arranging routine and complex travel for air, rail, car, and hotel accommodations.
  • Provide expert advice, solutions, and recommendations to travelers, ensuring compliance with customer travel policies and requirements.
  • Apply recommendations for managing calls, emails, and chats to ensure complete customer satisfaction and maintain excellent relationships.
  • Meet expectations for individual and shared team goals, achieving all company KPIs.
  • Operate in a multi-channel service environment, responsible for key performance indicators of success, such as customer satisfaction (CSAT) and productivity metrics.
  • Follow established organizational procedures, respecting schedules for various tasks.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for customer service excellence and the ability to research and resolve customer service and traveler issues independently.
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent level of Dutch and English.
  • Experience working in a high-touch service environment where performance is measured.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to act with integrity and deal sensitively with personal and confidential traveler information.
  • Problem-solving skill, with a process improvement mindset.
  • Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency, while maintaining a professional rapport and multi-tasking.
  • Learning agility and ability to act on constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge and experience in air, rail, hotel, and car booking, with a strong understanding of travel trends and industry best practices.
  • Ability to calculate and process exchanges.
  • High proficiency in GDS Amadeus.
