Travel Consultant Role at American Express Global Business Travel

At American Express Global Business Travel, we're committed to delivering exceptional travel experiences for our corporate clients. As a Travel Consultant, you'll play a critical role in providing personalized service, expert advice, and timely solutions to meet the unique needs of our travelers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with online and offline bookings, modifications, and cancellations via phone, chat, or email.
  • Act as the point of sale for domestic and international travel requirements, arranging routine and complex travel for air, rail, car, and hotel accommodations.
  • Provide expert advice, solutions, and recommendations to travelers, ensuring compliance with their travel policies and requirements.
  • Apply recommendations to manage calls, emails, and chats to ensure complete customer satisfaction and maintain excellent relationships.
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including mandatory training, compliance, and sanctions.
  • Meet individual and shared team goals, achieving all company KPIs.
  • Operate in a multi-channel service environment, responsible for key performance indicators such as customer satisfaction (CSAT), productivity metrics, and more.
  • Follow established organizational procedures, respecting schedules for various tasks.
  • Couch, develop, and mentor junior colleagues as needed.
  • Embody company ethics, values, and compliance guidelines in all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Passion for customer service excellence and ability to research and resolve customer service and traveler issues independently.
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent level of Dutch and English.
  • Experience working in a high-touch service environment with performance measurement.
  • Detail-oriented, with integrity and sensitivity when handling personal and confidential traveler information.
  • Problem-solving skills, with a process improvement mindset.
  • Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency, while maintaining a professional rapport and multitasking.
  • Learning agility and ability to act on constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge and experience in air, rail, hotel, and car booking, with a strong understanding of travel trends and industry best practices.
  • Ability to calculate and process exchanges.
  • High proficiency in GDS Amadeus.
