About this role
We are seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer to join our team as an Offshore Project Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Senior Geotechnical Engineers with work on site characterisation and foundation engineering for structures in or on the seabed.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the work around the process of acquiring, analysing, engineering and interpreting geotechnical data to provide accurate and customised services to clients;
- Provide geotechnical advice independently in straightforward contexts and work on solutions with Senior Geotechnical Engineers in more complex situations;
- Work offshore (approximately 120 days per year) and in the office on various projects in Europe and Africa with a range of characters, scales and complexities;
- Evaluate test results, perform engineering analyses and compile results into high-quality reports for clients.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology, preferably with relevant working experience;
- Knowledge of and interest in soil investigation, soil mechanics and foundation engineering;
- Excellent communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);
- Hands-on mentality, pro-active, analytical and ability to easily interact with other people internally and externally;
- EU member or in possession of an EU work permit.
