Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced supply chain and logistics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing BSC's logistics and transportation aspects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the freight and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets related to shipment and delivery times, costs, and inventory levels to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance Traffic and Freight team efficiency and reduce costs.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor operations, such as freight forwarders, to ensure they meet quality standards and negotiate contracts to ensure reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, production, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and address any Traffic/Freight issues.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the supply chain's performance to internal stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the Traffic/Freight teams to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
- Process Evaluation: Regularly review and analyze current Freight/Traffic processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Implementation of Best Practices: Research and apply industry best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Internships or Part-Time Roles: Experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management through internships or part-time roles is highly valuable.
- Entry-Level Positions: Roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Operations Analyst, or similar positions in the supply chain industry.
- Analytical Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in an analytical role within a supply chain environment.
- Relevant Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, familiarity with supply chain software, and strong problem-solving abilities.
