About the Job

The RF Power Characterization Engineer role at HIP BV involves setting up and maintaining various RF measurement systems, including 50 Ohms benches, Harmonics Load-pull systems, and Pulse IV systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Design and Application teams to characterize devices and demo boards, ensuring high-quality measurements and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, maintain, and calibrate Harmonics Load-pull systems, 50 Ohms benches, and Pulse IV systems.
  • Collaborate with Design and Application teams to characterize devices and demo boards.
  • Design broadband load-pull fixtures and calibration kits for various frequency bands and package types.
  • Manage lab operations, including inventory management and instrument maintenance.
  • Develop and implement good practices for high-quality measurements.
Requirements
  • University degree (MSc or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a strong foundation in radio frequency principles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in RF design, specifically with GaN or LDMOS transistors.
  • Expertise in RF laboratory equipment and measurement techniques, including power amplifier circuit assembly and tuning.
  • Familiarity with VNA-based load-pull systems and nonlinear modeling theory.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools, such as Keysight ADS suite, HFSS, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Self-directed and flexible, with a strong desire to be part of a winning team.
  • Proficient in English language.
