Critical Role in Customer Success

The RF power application engineer will play a key role in meeting customers' technical requirements by utilizing the company's portfolio of devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radio frequency principles and experience with high-efficiency Doherty power amplifiers, broadband/multiband amplifiers, and digital pre-distortion (DPD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop demo-boards using CAD tools and Load-pull measurement to evaluate new designs.
  • Optimize demo-boards' performances to meet customers' specifications and initiate design-in opportunities at key OEMs.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to support customers' needs.
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and translate them into requirements for new products.
  • Work with product marketing to define future RF products.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a strong foundation in radio frequency principles.
  • 5+ years' experience in RF design or applications, including high-efficiency Doherty power amplifiers.
  • Thorough understanding of a radio signal chain (Tx and Rx) and exposure to different radio architectures.
  • Understanding of mobile communication standards (LTE, NR, etc.) and global spectrum regulations (3GPP, FCC, etc.).
  • Expert in RF laboratory equipment and measurement techniques, including power amplifier circuit assembly and tuning.
  • RF board level design experience.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as Keysight ADS suite and 3D EM Simulation HFSS.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
