Job Title: Policy Advisor
About the Role:
We are seeking a Policy Advisor to join our team at TenneT, a leading European grid operator. As a Policy Advisor, you will play a crucial role in driving the energy transition by developing new concepts and design improvements for the electricity market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust, future-proof market design concepts to ensure resource adequacy.
- Develop strategies to align key decisions with TenneT's position and provide proactive analysis and stakeholder management.
- Represent TenneT in external project teams and working groups on market design issues.
- Analyze scientific articles, policy papers, and industry studies to extract insights relevant to market design.
Requirements:
- Academic degree in economics, engineering, or mathematics or a similar qualification.
- Excellent understanding of economic interrelationships and experience in analyzing rules and laws.
- Deep knowledge of the European energy sector, including the electricity market and capacity mechanisms.
- Broad network in the energy sector.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
