Job PurposeThe Corporate FP&A Business Partner acts as an integral pillar of the FP&A team at Travix, orchestrating core FP&A tasks, including planning cycles, monthly variance analysis, and consolidation of monthly performance reviews for senior leadership and parent company stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Orchestrate monthly variance reporting and commentary to C-Suite and relevant stakeholders, obtaining revenue and margin insights from Commercial Finance Business Partners while owning cost-related analysis and narratives.
- Act as a strategic business partner to the People team in headcount planning and analysis, providing guidance and collaborating to calculate cost implications.
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly forecasting, including creation and/or maintenance of planning templates and distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Takes a lead role in owning and maintaining key gates timelines, holding stakeholders accountable to deadlines through effective and timely communications.
- Play a supporting role in long-range planning, providing current/base year insights to the Head of FP&A, CFO, and C-Suite during strategic planning cycles.
- Drive projects in expense optimization and business improvements, identifying operating improvements, deep diving on cost structures, and analyzing business opportunities/investments.
- Take a leading role in month-end closing together with the financial controlling team to close the books accurately and timely, providing guidance, insight, and review to aid in risk and internal control management.
- Production of clear, high-quality financial reports to the Travix C-suite and other internal and external stakeholders, aiming to improve decision making.
- Support and challenge internal stakeholders regarding business cases.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis on various topics to support decision making and inform key stakeholders, e.g., in procurement due-diligence processes.
- Manage and develop an intern, building a valuable talent pool for the team and company, with the intern playing a critical support role in managing SG&A.
- Run the intern recruitment cycle every 6-12 months.
- 5-7 years of experience within financial controlling, accounting, or FP&A related roles.
- Superior analytical skills with a proven record of accomplishment of leveraging data analysis to drive change.
- Drive collaborative and real-time forecasting.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership to guide and influence decision making.
- Must possess the ability to challenge the status quo and drive business process and design changes.
- Ability to work with different cultures and across different levels of people.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for an entrepreneurial environment where demands and priorities change rapidly.
- People management and recruitment experience is desirable - this is a suitable role for a first or second-time manager.
- Systems and ERP experience in any of the following: Oracle HFM, SAP, Netsuite, Looker, Tableau, or similar.
