Hapag-Lloyd AG is a leading global container shipping company, and our newly established terminal and infrastructure business division, Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT), is dedicated to providing innovative solutions and services in the maritime sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Strategy Implementation to join our team and drive the implementation of our strategic initiatives.

Job Objectives:

The Senior Manager of Strategy Implementation will be responsible for designing and managing HGT's strategy deployment system, ensuring alignment between business objectives and operational initiatives. This role will work closely with our global leadership team to drive long-term growth and competitive positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy deployment system that ties together our strategy on all levels, from Hapag-Lloyd AG to each individual terminal.
  • Work closely with local Terminal leaders and staff to deploy local strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the COO to develop the system for HGT's asset by asset strategy, ensuring a clear and measurable approach.
  • Ensure connection and alignment of the framework with HGT's performance management to track progress and celebrate successes.
  • Deploy LEAN thinking and methodologies to strengthen clarity of purpose, problem definition, and problem solving.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic planning and implementation, preferably within terminal operations or the logistics industry.
  • Good understanding of the container terminal business and the ability to align strategy with operational objectives.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Ability to influence senior management and drive strategic initiatives across a multi-site organization.
