Hapag-Lloyd AG is a global leader in the container shipping industry. The company has recently established Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT), a new business division based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

As a Strategic Implementation Manager, you will play a key role in designing and managing HGT's strategy deployment system. This system ties together the strategy on all levels, from the Hapag-Lloyd Group to each individual terminal, ensuring that it is supported by actionable initiatives and tied meaningfully to performance management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in strategic planning and implementation, preferably within terminal operations or the logistics industry. You have a good understanding of the container terminal business and can align strategy with operational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a system for HGT's asset-by-asset strategy
  • Ensuring connection and alignment of the framework with HGT's performance management
  • Deploying LEAN thinking and methodologies to strengthen clarity of purpose and problem solving
  • Engaging actively with assets and portfolios to stimulate buy-in and sense of ownership
