We are seeking a skilled Freelance Transcriber to join our team at the International Criminal Court. As a Freelance Transcriber, you will be responsible for transcribing audio and video recordings in Pashto and/or Dari, with a working knowledge of English.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality transcripts from audio and video recordings in a timely manner
- Consult with the LSU Transcription team to clarify ambiguities and provide feedback
- Apply feedback to ensure delivery of a quality product
- Proficiency in listening to, understanding, and writing Pashto and/or Dari
- Working knowledge of English
- Experience in transcription or a related field, preferably in a legal setting
- Strong computer and information technology skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
Candidates will be invited to sit a transcription accreditation test. Accreditation is subject to obtaining the necessary security clearance. Successful candidates will be placed on a roster of accredited transcribers.
Working Conditions:Freelance transcribers must understand that the audio/video material outsourced for transcription may on occasion be of an upsetting or disturbing nature.
