Our team at the International Criminal Court is seeking a skilled Freelance Transcription Specialist to join our roster of experienced transcribers.



About the Role

This role is a great opportunity for highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to work with our team on a freelance basis, providing high-quality transcription services to support our organization's mission.



Key Responsibilities


  2. Produce accurate and timely transcripts from audio or video recordings in accordance with our guidelines and glossaries.
  3. Collaborate with our team to clarify any ambiguities, build glossaries, and provide feedback to ensure the highest quality output.
  4. Apply feedback and guidelines to deliver a quality product that meets our standards.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • Mother-tongue proficiency in English.
  • Professional qualifications in languages or linguistics (desirable).
  • Prior experience in transcription or a related field, preferably in a legal setting.
  • Strong computer and IT skills, with the ability to use transcription software and extranets.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our team.
