ING, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled HPC Platform Expert to join our team. As an expert in High-Performance Computing, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our IT landscape.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in HPC, software engineering, and operations experience. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain our HPC platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance computing environments, including HPC (GPU) clusters, parallel computing principles, distributed computing principles, and techniques.
- Implement efficient solutions for data-intensive tasks, utilizing tools like MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, and GPU architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system resources.
- Design and implement monitoring practices and alerting tools, leveraging Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Ansible, and Shell scripting.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex subsystems.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of high-performance computing environments, including HPC (GPU) clusters and parallel computing principles.
- Experience with deploying and maintaining parallel programming models and libraries, middleware, and supporting software.
- Knowledge of GPU architectures and technologies, such as NVIDIA CUDA and AMD ROCm.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL 8 or 9), Azure DevOps, pipeline, and Ansible skills.
- Experience working with certificates, encryption technology, and shared storage configuration.
- Education at Master's level with a strong analytical background in Computer/Data Science, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, Financial Engineering, or equivalent.
