Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Full Professor in Sustainable Structural Design to join our team at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our research group in sustainable structural design, developing and teaching courses, and supervising students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead research projects in sustainable structural design, with a focus on structural design for buildings and infrastructure.
  • Teach and develop courses in sustainable structural design, structural engineering, and building design.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects and academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to develop and implement sustainable structural design solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of our department's research strategy and initiatives.
Requirements
  • PhD in civil or building engineering, with a specialization in structural engineering and/or structural design.
  • Several years of experience as an Associate Professor at a reputable university.
  • Scientific authority within the field of sustainable structural design, with a strong publication record.
  • Ability to teach and develop courses in sustainable structural design and structural engineering.
  • Experience in supervising students and mentoring junior researchers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and industry partners.
  • Demonstrable administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage research projects and teams.
