Assistant Professor in Economics of Technological Change

The Technology, Innovation and Society (TIS) group at the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking an Assistant Professor in Economics of Technological Change. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in the area of sustainable innovation and technological change, working closely with the TIS research team.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in the area of economics of technological change and sustainability, developing an own research line and contributing to the TIS research team.
- Teach courses on economics and the economics of technological change at the BSc and MSc levels, including project supervision and thesis supervision.
- Supervise PhD students as daily supervisor.
- Acquire external funding for research projects.
- PhD in economics of innovation, evolutionary or institutional economics research, or a comparable domain.
- Track record in the field of economics of technological change, with publications in relevant journals.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights, Energy Economics, and Sustainable Innovation is a plus.
- Affinity with engineering sciences.
- Ability to conduct high-quality academic research and teach effectively.
- A full-time fixed-term appointment of 18 months, with the possibility of tenure.
