The successful candidate will lead research on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials, leveraging cutting-edge tools and techniques to explore and tailor growth mechanisms and material properties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality academic research in the field of 2D materials, with a focus on synthesis and characterization.
- Develop and lead research projects, collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to advance the field of 2D materials.
- Teach and mentor students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to the department's teaching mission.
- Contribute to the development of the department's research strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.
- PhD in (Applied) Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable domain.
- Experience in the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials.
- Ability to conduct high-quality academic research, reflected in demonstrable outputs.
- Motivated to teach and contribute to teaching processes.
- Strong cooperation skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring of students and staff.
