2D Materials Synthesis Researcher for Next-Generation Semiconductors

We are seeking an exceptional researcher to lead our efforts in 2D materials synthesis, with a focus on advancing next-generation semiconductor technologies. As an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, you will be part of a world-class research team and contribute to shaping the future of electronics.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute an independent research program focused on 2D materials growth and characterization.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to explore novel physics in 2D materials and implement them in electronic, photonic, and quantum devices.
- Mentor students and contribute to teaching activities at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Pursue external funding opportunities to support your research agenda.
- PhD in (Applied) Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality academic research.
- Affinity for teaching and developing your skills in this area.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring of students and staff.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- A gross monthly salary ranging from € 4537,- to € 7056,- (scale 11 and scale 12).
- An annual holiday allowance of 8% of the yearly salary, plus a year-end allowance of 8.3% of the annual salary.
- Partially paid parental leave and an allowance for commuting, working from home, and internet costs.
