Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Applied Physics, specializing in 2D materials growth for future semiconductors. As a key member of our Plasma & Materials Processing group, you will lead research on the synthesis and characterization of high-quality 2D materials, leveraging cutting-edge metrology tools and collaborating with international experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality academic research in 2D materials synthesis and characterization
  • Develop and lead research projects in collaboration with international partners
  • Teach and contribute to the Applied Physics curriculum, developing your teaching skills
  • Collaborate with industry partners and other research units to advance 2D materials research
  • Secure external funding to support your research program
Requirements
  • PhD in (Applied) Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in 2D materials synthesis and characterization
  • Strong research and teaching skills, with a track record of publications and teaching experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in team management and collaboration
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
