Research Opportunity

Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Applied Physics. The successful candidate will lead research on 2D materials growth, leveraging cutting-edge synthesis and metrology tools.

About the Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced researcher to address one of the key challenges in the field of 2D materials – synthesis of high-quality 2D materials and their integration in next-generation atomic-scale semiconductor devices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality academic research in 2D materials synthesis and characterization
  • Develop and lead research projects in collaboration with the Plasma & Materials Processing group
  • Teach and contribute to the Applied Physics bachelor and master curriculum
  • Collaborate with other departments and multidisciplinary institutes within the university

Requirements

  • PhD in (Applied) Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable domain
  • Experience in the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials
  • Ability to conduct high-quality academic research and teach
  • Strong cooperation and communication skills
