Hydraulic Engineer for Fleet Innovation

Boskalis is a world-class maritime service provider that prides itself on innovation and efficiency. As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer Central Fleet Support, you will play a crucial role in the quality assurance of our fleet and the application of technical innovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze hydraulic problem definitions and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Create technical concept designs and write functional specifications.
  • Supervise basic and detailed engineering.
  • Perform budget calculations and monitor progress during engineering and work in progress.
  • Conduct technical inspections of designs, documents, and drawings.
  • Organize and lead executive activities at foreign locations.
  • Manage and integrate hydraulics-related activities during commissioning projects.
  • Share responsibility for official acceptances, sea trials, and final delivery of assigned disciplines.
About You
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Maritime Technology.
  • You have over five years of experience in the maritime and/or dredging sector in the field of hydraulic installations.
  • You have experience with independently designing installations and carrying out troubleshooting on board.
  • You are familiar with complex specifications and budgets, as well as tender processes at shipyards, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • You have experience managing internal and external parties to ensure realization, commissioning, and aftercare within specifications on time, quality, and budget.
  • You can evaluate and assess project engineers and subcontractors.
  • You have excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
