Job Title: Senior Hydraulic Engineer - Central Fleet Support

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Central Fleet Support Department. As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the quality assurance of our fleet and the application of technical innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing hydraulic problem definitions and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Creating technical concept designs and writing functional specifications
  • Supervising basic and detailed engineering
  • Budget calculations
  • Monitoring progress during engineering and work in progress
  • Technical inspection of designs, documents, and drawings
  • Organizing and leading executive activities at (foreign) locations
  • Managing and integrating hydraulics-related activities when commissioning projects
  • Sharing responsibility for official acceptances, sea trials, and final delivery of assigned disciplines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering or Maritime Technology
  • Over five years of experience in the maritime and/or dredging sector in the field of hydraulic installations
  • Experience with independently designing installations and carrying out troubleshooting on board
  • Design knowledge and experience with complex hydraulic installations
  • Experience with complex specifications and budgets and tender processes at shipyards, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Experience in managing internal and external parties to ensure realization, commissioning, and aftercare within specifications on time, quality, and budget
  • Experience in evaluating and assessing project engineers and subcontractors
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
