Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Engineer to join our team at Expleo. As a key player in our technical team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring peak system performance and reliability for our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot products at customer sites to ensure maximum availability and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support team, project team members, and less experienced personnel.
- Carry out troubleshooting during the product introduction period, as well as pre-warranty and commissioning, including investigation and repair.
- Carry out fleet check activities.
- Report and register any deviations (failures/events) in the failure management database, including configuration data.
- Support the operation helpdesk.
- Apply and enforce EHS and security rules and relevant product introduction processes on customer sites.
- Execute test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and perform failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair.
- Support implementation of field modifications (FM operator), if required.
- Support specific technical investigations by engineering or internal/external suppliers.
- Recommend preventative and corrective actions.
- Instruct and direct operators in field modification and repairs, if needed.
- Advise product introduction management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.
- Ensure good information flow about interventions and operations within troubleshooting to support shift transition, if needed.
- Conduct peer reviews of product introduction activities and provide technical leadership, if requested.
- Achieve contractual availability (milestone) targets.
Requirements
- Certified technician or undergraduate in a technical field (mechanical or electrical/electronics).
- 5 years of technical troubleshooting/investigation experience (mechanical or electrical/electronics).
- Strong PC knowledge and ability to perform software updates on vehicles.
- Minimum IT knowledge, knowledge of Maximo is a benefit.
- EHS knowledge and exposure, internal EHS training.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Railway safety/product liability.
- Engineering knowledge.
- Able to work in shifts (day/night) and weekends.
- Fluent Dutch and knowledge of English.
