About the Role
Damen Shipyards Group is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in Gorinchem. As a Sales Engineer - Used Vessels Specialist, you will be responsible for chartering and selling second-hand vessels on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on offers.
- Monitor market developments, conditions, and charter rates.
- Identify opportunities for Damen-built vessels.
- Draft and negotiate BIMCO contracts.
- Handle post-fixture activities and coordinate with operations staff, clients, captains, agents, and brokers.
- Visit projects, clients, and vessels as required, and report your findings, including possible operational and technical improvements.
Requirements
- Technical education, preferably MAROF, but shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, or other technical backgrounds are also considered.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the maritime industry, such as Marine Surveyor, Chief Engineer, or Superintendent.
- Proactive and independent approach, with the ability to work in a structured manner.
- Good knowledge of Dutch (must) and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel abroad.
