About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Global Product Support Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a key member of our Customer Support Business Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive premier support throughout their lifecycle with our products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Spearhead technical leadership in problem resolution, collaborating closely with field teams to ensure effective issue escalation and resolution.
  • Deliver technical expertise to process engineers and product support personnel, focusing on troubleshooting thin film deposition chambers for process capability gaps, chamber matching, defects, and yield failures.
  • Respond promptly to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems related to process capability gaps.
  • Provide expert support to customers/users where our products are highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
  • Lead customer beta programs, including installation, qualification, milestones, technical requirements, training, and certification of local teams/customers.
  • Promote Knowledge Management activities to share learning worldwide, expediting solutions, reducing repeat issues, escalations, and improving cycle time closure.
  • Report process-related enhancements and design improvements to our design engineering team.
  • Support business-critical customer new tool process qualification, training, and BKM document creation.
  • Utilize statistical process control data analysis expertise.
  • Travel up to 30% for business purposes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience developing, manufacturing, or supporting capital equipment.
  • A high-tech background with relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with working in semiconductor fabs.
  • The ability to represent Lam by creating material and presenting technical findings to customers and support teams.
  • Leadership of cross-functional problem-solving teams in high-priority escalations, containing problems, and delivering proven, tested solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, reacting to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal, and external partners.
  • A collaboration/matrix environment mindset.
Estimated Salary Range

$140,000 - $170,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
