We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability strategy and engagement for EECM-BNL. As a key member of our Sustainability and External Communication team, you will be responsible for delivering our sustainability strategy across nutrition, environment, and communities/social purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of our sustainability strategy, including the development and implementation of systems to track and report on sustainability metrics.
- Support the integration of sustainability into our company's overall strategy and operations.
- Manage the internal governance process, monitoring progress, learnings, and KPIs of all sustainability programs.
- Develop and implement systems to track and report on sustainability metrics.
- Create comprehensive reports and compelling presentations for leadership decision-making.
- Communicate sustainability progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the establishment of a controlled data flow for ESG disclosures and the implementation of the annual ESG report.
- Develop and lead the partner engagement strategy on ESG issues, enhancing sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
- Educate and train employees on sustainability practices and environmental stewardship.
- Stay on top of sustainability trends, innovations, and best practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve performance.
- Lead initiatives to raise awareness of sustainability efforts both internally and externally.
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in sustainability management with a strong understanding of ESG principles.
- Ability to think critically, analyze, and effectively break down complex issues.
- Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in community engagement and CSR activities is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of EU policy and issues relevant to our sector.
- Proficiency with data management tools and software.
- Effective personal time management and planning skills.
- Team player with good social and communication skills, including empathy, personal tact, and integrity.
- Capable of working efficiently, meeting deadlines, and handling ambiguity and stress.
- Strong written and oral communications in English; French or Dutch language skills are a benefit.
