Senior Computational Biologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computational Biologist to join our team at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). As a Senior Computational Biologist, you will play a key role in applying advanced analytics tools to multi-omics data, evaluating and establishing analysis pipelines, and collaborating with scientists to provide expert informatics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to analyze large-scale omics data
- Evaluate and establish analysis pipelines for data processing and visualization
- Collaborate with scientists to design and implement data-driven research projects
- Provide expert informatics solutions to support research initiatives
- Mentor and train junior team members in data analytics and computational biology
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or related disciplines
- At least 4 years' hands-on experience in data analytics and computational biology
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, or related languages
- Experience in single-cell multi-omics or analyzing genomics datasets (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
