European Ocean Pricing Coordinator

Objective:
Oversee the Ocean Pricing framework, collaborating with essential stakeholders (Product, Pricing, business development, operations teams) to ensure effective communication and robust working relationships. The individual in this role will prioritize data integrity, process optimization, and demonstrate exceptional time management and proficiency in Excel tools.
Reporting directly to the Ocean team in Europe, this position will maintain a close partnership with the EU Central Pricing Department (CPD) for ongoing support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Assistance & Request for Quotations (RFQs):
- Evaluate and scrutinize RFQ submissions.
- Disseminate RFQs to relevant stakeholders.
- Collect data from pertinent internal stakeholders throughout the tender management cycle.
- Facilitate communication among internal stakeholders during the tender management phase.
- Coordinate correspondence.
- Adhere to deadlines (both internal and external) and follow up with stakeholders.
- Implement RFQ pricing strategies.
- Finalize RFQ submissions and present them to primary stakeholders for review and approval.
Customer Quotation System (Freightos or similar):
- Ensure the accuracy of Ocean data on the platform for the designated region.
- Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from subject matter experts.
- Update pricing and report any discrepancies or lack of information within the system.
- Conduct regular reviews to guarantee data accuracy.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in Logistics or related field.
Experience and Expertise:
- Minimum of 3 years in Freight Forwarding.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Ocean Products.
- Excellent understanding of Pricing mechanisms.
- Good networking capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of Tender processes.
- Very good grasp of Ocean principles.
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient PC skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong time management skills.
- High level of data accuracy.
Personal Attributes:
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
