We are seeking a Senior Optical Coating and Metallization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of our processes, making a significant impact. You will report to the Cluster Lead for Wet-Etch, Back-End and Metal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be in charge of our metal deposition and optical Coating tool and processes;
- Optimize existing and develop new processes in the metal production area, including evaporated physical vapor deposition and rapid annealing on 4′′ wafers;
- Plan and carry out tests to continuously improve processes in terms of stability, yield, throughput times, and costs;
- Define, specify, and qualify production materials and auxiliary materials;
- Maintain and improve our SPC processes;
- Provide technical support and coating and metallization knowledge in a wafer fab;
- Interact with different teams, such as Test & Measurement, Back-End, and Operations;
Requirements:
- A PhD or Master's degree in Material Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant;
- 10 years of practical experience in semiconductor technology and industrial manufacturing;
- Deep knowledge of Metallization and/or optical coatings processes;
- Experience with PVD and optical coating processes, as well as handling coating systems and vacuum technology;
- Experience with working on Metallization tools;
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Software);
- Proven experience with improving processes and using statistical tools (e.g. FMEA, SPC, DoE);
- Bias for Action and Ownership – you roll up your sleeves and get the job done;
- Good communication skills in English;
