Job Title: Logistics Principal

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Principal to join our team at Intelsat. As a key member of our Production Operations and Logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient distribution of Intelsat Inflight internet components across EMEA and APAC regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure the transportation and distribution of Intelsat products at the right place, right time, and right cost.
  • Manage inventory through ItemAware (WMS at AMS location) and collaborate with 3PL providers.
  • Coordinate all warehousing activities at Intelsat locations in EMEA and APAC, including preparation of shipment and customs documentation.
  • Coordinate distribution of international freight and exported goods, ensuring strict compliance with import/export rules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze delivery costs and recommend more cost-effective methods of transportation.
  • Support contract negotiations with outside transportation companies and handle customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on shipment status and delivery schedules.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a logistics environment, preferably in Aerospace.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of logistics software, including Microsoft Office and Dynamics Navision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
