Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Adjuster to join our Casualty Claims team in Rotterdam. As a Complex Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in resolving complex casualty claims in a timely and accurate manner, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling complex casualty claims, including gathering relevant information, determining coverage, assessing liability, and conducting quantum analysis.
• Engaging and managing experts and lawyers as necessary to ensure effective claim resolution.
• Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, clients, lawyers, and other parties involved in the claim.
• Working with underwriters to turn claims experience into improved products and services.
• Ensuring adherence to compliance and claims guidelines, as well as best practice procedures for casualty complex claims.

Requirements:

• Experience in handling and settling casualty claims, including engaging and managing experts and lawyers.
• Fluency in Dutch, with knowledge of English a plus.
• Legal degree in Dutch civil law.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work efficiently.
• Commitment to service-quality and performing on a 'first time right'-basis.
• Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
