About the Role
Job Summary
AIG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Adjuster to join our Casualty Claims team in Rotterdam. As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in resolving complex casualty claims in a timely and accurate manner, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complex casualty claims, gathering relevant information, determining coverage, assessing liability, and conducting quantum analysis.
- Engage, monitor, and manage experts and lawyers as necessary to ensure effective claim resolution.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, clients, lawyers, victims, or their legal representatives to ensure seamless claim handling.
- Work closely with underwriters to turn claims experience into improved products and services.
- Adhere to compliance and claims guidelines, setting an exemplary standard for team members.
- Ensure adherence to best practice procedures for casualty complex claims, consistent with global best practices.
Requirements
- Experience in handling and settling casualty claims, including engaging, monitoring, and managing experts/lawyers and adjusting/taking control where necessary.
- Fluency in Dutch, with knowledge of the English language a plus.
- Legal degree in Dutch civil law.
- Strong analytical skills and commitment to service-quality and performing on a 'first time right'-basis.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
