Claims Adjuster Casualty Specialist

The Complex Claims Adjuster position is a dynamic and exciting opportunity within our international team. As a key member of our casualty claims team, you will be responsible for handling complex claims, gathering relevant information, determining coverage, and assessing liability and quantum analysis.
You will engage with experts and lawyers, communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, brokers, clients, and other parties involved in the claims process. Your goal will be to provide timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. If you are a hands-on professional with a passion for working in a dynamic, international setting, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Handling complex casualty claims, including gathering information, determining coverage, and assessing liability and quantum analysis.
- Engaging, monitoring, and managing experts and lawyers as necessary.
- Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders, brokers, clients, and other parties involved in the claims process.
- Working with underwriters to turn claims experience into improved products.
- Ensuring adherence to compliance and claims guidelines, as well as playing an exemplary role towards other team members.
- Experience with handling and settling casualty claims, including engaging, monitoring, and managing experts/lawyers and adjusting/taking control where necessary.
- Fluency in Dutch, with knowledge of the English language a plus.
- Legal degree in Dutch civil law.
- Good analytical skills.
- Commitment to service-quality and performing on a 'first time right'-basis.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
